Why can’t I use the balance of a package I am owed on a holiday or over the weekend?

Similar to our other policies, holidays and weekends are considered peak times that are essential for us to cover operational costs. As a result, the balance of a package can only be used during off-peak times, such as midweek.

Why are your nice packages and pop-up deals only applicable at the Royal branch? Clients even travel from Umhlanga to access these specials since they aren't available at Coastlands Umhlanga branches.

The Royal Hotel is a 3-star property, which allows us to offer discounts at these locations. On the other hand, the Umhlanga and Musgrave branches are located in 4-star hotels, where operational costs are higher, making it difficult to offer the same specials.

Why is the pensioner discount only for single-person bookings? Older people want to enjoy the discount on couples' packages too.

The pensioner discount is meant to help pensioners save. In the past, it was sometimes misused by non-pensioners, so we’ve set clear rules.

Solution:

  • If both people in the couple are pensioners, the package will be 25% off the total price.
Example: A couples' package costs R1000. Both are pensioners, so the total is R750 (25% off).
  • If only one person is a pensioner, the price will be split in half. The pensioner will get 25% off their half, and the non-pensioner will pay the full amount for their half.
Example: A couples' package costs R1000. Each person pays R500. The pensioner pays R375 (25% off R500), and the non-pensioner pays R500.

Why doesn’t the R399 special mention the price per person (R270.30) if it can no longer be split into two sessions?

This deal is already the lowest possible price, and there’s a minimum room cost we need to cover for each session, so splitting it into two visits is not possible.

Solution: If you’d like to split a package into two visits, consider booking one of our higher-priced packages, which allows for splitting while covering the room cost.

Why are single bookings discounted at 30% and not 50%?

Single bookings are discounted at 30% because there is a minimum room cost we need to cover. For couples, the cost is divided between two people in one room, making it more cost-effective. However, for a single person, the full room cost still needs to be covered, which is why the discount is lower.

Can couples be treated in separate rooms?

No, we have a minimum room cost that needs to be covered. The price is lower when two people are in one room and share the room cost.

Solution:

  1. You can request a divider to be placed in the center of the room, should the branch have one in stock.
  2. Alternatively, if you prefer separate rooms, we can look at a cost-effective single package.
  3. Or each person can book the couples deal they like, pay 70% of the couples' price for a single person, and have their own single room.
  4. Choose a package that includes a pedicure and foot massage, so both can share one room—one person can start with the massage, and the other can begin with the pedi, then they can swap over.

Loyalty Programme FAQs

Why can't loyalty points be used during peak seasons and weekends?

Why can’t loyalty points be altered to use on any treatment I want?

Similar to our other points policies, loyalty points are offered as an incentive and are tied to specific treatments or packages. Solution: You can use your SpaBacks (cashback) to discount the package or treatment of your choice!

Can we not get points on both profiles for one treatment?

Why do birthday coupons expire?

Birthday coupons are given as a way to spoil yourself with 25% off during your birthday. Due to the nature of coupons and common practice, they must have an expiration date. Solution: You can use your 25% off birthday coupon to buy a voucher, which will be discounted by 25%. The voucher will then be valid for 3 years.
